Little twinkles photography

I have been hearing a lot lately about little twinkles photography and im loving what I see. Her photographs are mesmerizing to say the least. She captures true moments between children and families. The great thing about her is that she comes to your house and takes photos using natural light. The photographs are vary natural and note posy which I love the most. Here is something I got from her website about the photographer.

The photographer:

I am not your ordinary photographer.. I love to capture the fun, the innocence and the pure joy of childhood.. if you are looking for a traditional portrait then I am not the photographer for you.. I capture life not just faces on paper.. I save records of childhood and to me everything is significant.. I try to develop myself in every way possible and to me everyday brings along a new lesson!

I'm a mother and a wife, self-taught photographer, a believer, a bookworm, sensitive, shy, faithful, and trusting, over-protective, self-conscious, vegetarian, Starbucks Junkie, dreamy, romantic, forgiving, thoughtful, forgetful and much more:)
Im definitely going to book a sessions with her. I will keep you updated ☺

Bonpoint - Kuwait

Whenever I travel I always make sure that my first shopping destination is Bonpoint. Bonpoint is a baby and children’s boutique. Its such a cute shop. The interior is so warm and cozy, it always smells so good and their collection is to die for! So you could imagine my surprise when I was shopping around in Salhiya and I passed Bonpoint !! I couldn’t belive it. Finally someone had the sense to bring this adorable store to Kuwait. I walked in and had a look around. I asked the sales lady how long they’ve been open and she said 2 months. I was surprised that they haven’t advertised the opening of them store. What I love most in Bonpoint is their gift collection. They have adorable onesies, socks and newborn sets that are so heavenly. Here are a few images I took of the store in Kuwait.

Bonpoint is located in AlSalhiya Complex, Second floor, next to Baby Dior

Lunchbox notes

When I was a kid my mom used to put little notes in my lunchbox everyday. I got so excited opening my lunchbox to see what was inside. She would put a joke, a riddle that I had to answer or an activity that we would do when I got home, such as going to the cinema at 5 or get ready to shop till you drop! I remember how good it made me feel so I decided that when my kids are old enough to read I’m going to do the same thing. I found these cute little lunchbox notes that you can download and print. Make your kids day with a lunchbox note, trust me they will love it! ☺

Paper design

I think I might have spoken to soon. I read this on confasions blog. It seems that we do have a local stationary brand in Kuwait called Paper-Design.

Graduating with a degree in Graphic Design Fudha Al- Ateeqi is the face behind the brand. She started her career designing corporate identities and wedding invitations as a freelancer but always had a dream and soon her dream became her reality.
Paper-Design is also an online store where you can find adorable gift tags, cards and notebooks in addition to that she can create a customized invitation or greeting card for any occasion. I love collecting notebooks so one of my favorites is the perfect notebook.

The outside has pockets for your favorite pen and papers, I always seems to loose my pens! while the inside has a pocket to hold your notebook, and additional pockets to hold money, credit cards and just about anything else you need to carry. The elastic band will keep everything in its place but unfortunately its sold out.

It’s a breath of fresh air knowing that we have all these talents in Kuwait and I hope we see more of them.

The wonders of paper

You have probably heard me say this before, im a huge stationary addict! I collect anything and everything to do with stationary. Unfortunately here in Kuwait we don’t have any specialized stores so I have to get my fix through the web. There are hundreds of amazing designers out there but I thought I would shed the light on one of my new finds.
Minted is a new online store offering fresh, modern custom stationery and invitations. You can find a card for any occasion here. What I love most about this site is that it carries more than one brand. They are always on the look out for great independent brands and the latest-up-and-coming talent so the designs and ideas behind them are always fresh and exciting. One of my favorite cards are the birth announcements, it’s a shame though in Kuwait no such thing is given out, probably what’s holding them back is the thought of people giving them the evil eye, don’t you agree? Anyways lets not go off topic here. Check out there website and enjoy.

What a colorful world!

Im not one to cook lunch/dinner everyday. I hate my kitchen so I rarely go in and get creative but I love baking; I love the creativity in it. Mixing up ingredients, the art of measuring, there is such a thrill to it that I seek some times. And today was one of those days. I went on google and started searching fun recipes that me and the kids could do together and oooh what a surprise I have for you! I jumped with excitement when I found this recipe, its so much fun and so beautiful that I don’t know if I would want to eat it. Im sure my kids would love to dive into this…

Looks like a regular cake, right ?

SUPRISE !!

im in love with how colorful it is

The colors used above are not your typical food coloring, they are called gel food coloring, are these available in Kuwait ?

In love !

Thank god for something called the internet! I was disconnected last night for a mere hour and thought I was going to go crazy ! I see that as a really bad sign but a girl has to have her daily fix of gossip, blogging and surfing the net . Without the internet there wouldn’t be something called e-shopping which I love !! so today im going to shed the light on one of my favorite destinations to shop for the little ones.’ CREWCUTS.

Crewcuts is the kids line for J-Crew. Their clothing line is adorable. I cant get enough of their collection. Even though their prices aren’t that great, you are paying for the quality. Check them out, they are definitely the place for cool kids ;)
