Local Tees - Creativity at its best

I'm a sucker for art and design. I love when local talents get together and come up with creative, positive, out of the box ideas. Local Tees is a local concept with art in mind. Anyone can submit their art work, if it get approved they will print it on high quality T-shirts where a limited number will be sold through their website.

You can tell from their photo shoot that they know what they are doing. Oh, and their playlists are amazing! Definitely worth visiting.

Viva - You did it again!

I was so excited to find out that Viva are now the official carries of the iPhone 4. I can now call them for any technical support and actually talk to someone that has a clue about  what they are doing. Their packages seem very reasonable.

Has anyone tried them? Would love to read any feedback you may have.

New kid on the block: And-Etc Online Baby Boutique

and - etc is an online baby and childrens boutique that has just launched in Kuwait. You can tell by just browsing through the boutique that everything has been hand picked with the client in mind. Comfortable yet stylish clothing is what this boutique is about.

The brands they carry are mostly European brands such as Marie Chantal, Caramel Baby and Child, Yporque, and Go Gently Baby.

I highly recommend you visit the boutique and get your hands on some fashionable items for your little ones.

Preparing for a new baby

One of my closest friends is expecting her first baby in a couple of months and everyone is so excited for her. I volunteered to take her shopping and start buying all the must have items. She has postponed this forever!

The number one place I recommend to all my preggo friends is Centerpoint - AlRai because they have an amazing collection of baby items and at resonable prices.

Dr.Brown glass bottles were available, as well as their accessories

They also have a great selection of safety first items such as door stoppers, electrical socket plugs, table covers and much more.

A collection of teethers from Avent

and our best find of the day was The breastfeeding blanket. A great cover up when   you have friends and family around. Be discreet in style ;)

It comes in lots of colors and is only KD 13.500, what a steal! :)

New boutique on the block: Les Petits Parisiens

Hidden in the Mezanine of Salhiya Complex is an exquisite little boutique called Les Petits Parisiens.  As soon as I set foot in it I was mesmerized. The simplicity of it's design, calm colors and gorgeous set up makes it one of my favorite boutiques to date. Walking through the boutique I secretly wished that there were outfits my size.

Every mommy and mommy to be should pass by Les Petits Parisiens . They are located in AlSalhiya Complex, Mezanine 2, Gate 2 ,Shop #7. Telephone: 2299-6443

Spotted at Baroue

I was walking past Baroue in the Avenues Mall the other day and all of a sudden I came to a halt! looked to my right and  I was going to start jumping from excitement when I spotted this.  The new Stokke stroller and, are you ready for this?? The oh so famous Orbit Stroller.

Stokke Stroller

 Orbit Stroller

The new stokke stroller comes with some great changes. They also had the rider accessory which is perfect if you have a toddler and new baby.

The Orbit stroller is something else. You have to see the video to understand what I mean. I think it's on every mothers wish list.

Ofcourse both strollers come with a hefty price tag but hey who cares!!
I WANT THEM BOTH!!

Kuwait my beloved country

I'm not one to talk about politics nor am I into politics to be honest with you but the way things are going in Kuwait right now is very depressing. I'm shocked about how naive people are and how proud they are for being so.

My heart is full of sadness. Take a stand and speak up!

Pregnancy must haves: Palmers Cocoa Butter

I was the first out of all my friends to have a baby so I'm like their mentor lol. When they ask me what is my number one pregnancy purchase I would always say: Cocoa Butter from Palmers. It is a miracle worker. I know they say genes play a big roll in the appearance of strech marks but I truly believe that this helps. It keeps your skin nice and soft and doesnt leave an oily resedue which I love.

You can find Palmers body lotion in Sultan Center and City Center.

It's party time

My son’s birthday is just around the corner and to tell you the truth I’m starting to panic. I decided that I wanted to do all the arrangements, planning, decorating and baking myself. Too ambitious do you think? To be honest I think I’m way over my head, but hey it’s a party for 6 year olds, how hard can it be?
What I have so far? The party is going to be outdoors. Lots and lots of balloons. The theme? Well he wants a Jungle party. He is infatuated with animals so that should be easy.  I'm planning on creating a fruits and vegetable table since it's in the jungle there won't be any sweets around. That's going to be my excuse if any of the kids think the party is lame because there is no candy. LOL
Ok, I’ll let you in on a little secret. There might be a slight chance that I might call in some help. I’ll see how it goes but if I can predict trouble ahead I’m definitely going to call one of the party planning companies.
In Kuwait we have a few options to choose from. I’ve seen most of their work upfront and I believe they all have something special to bring to the table.
Well these are the ones I know. Do you have any recommendations ?

Pottery Barn Kids - Kuwait

I didn’t get a chance to go to the opening of Pottery Barn but couldn’t wait and went the next day. I loved the kid’s store. There is so much to see; I couldn’t decide what to buy so I made a very smart decision. I took a step back and said; today I'm only going to window shop. If I were going to buy anything I would have left with the whole store! lol.

Here are a few snaps I managed to take.

I LOVED the bathroom display! TOOO CUTE!

One thing for sure is the customized wall hangers, bags, chairs and towels are going to be a big hit, definitely going to make some for my kids.

I want the shopping carts and kitchen set! Adorable!!!

Poterry Barn is located in The Avenues Mall Phase 1.

I *heart* Zara Home

One of my favorite stores in Kuwait has to be Zara Home. I get an adrenalin rush when ever I'm there!  I love the style of their accessorize, their details, and color schemes, its so me. I passed by yesterday and saw the most adorable baby collection you can imagine. They even have diaper bags. The baby fabrics they use are not babyish at all, light floral pinks for girls and gray, blue hues for boys...just adorable.

Their prices are very reasonable. If you have a baby shower soon or just want to update you kids room then Zara Home is the place to go.

Zara home is located in The Avenues, Phase One and Marina Mall.
